Quality
The goal of Mackellars is to achieve optimal external
and internal customer satisfaction levels. The senior
management team's committed to the support of
managerial and operational systems to realise that goal.
We have realised the importance of making the transition
to the new Quality management system
BS EN ISO 9001:2008.


Quality Policy
We are committed to the efficient supply of engineering
products and services that fully meet our clients'
specifications for quality, product and delivery.

 

To achieve this objective we have implemented a
management system in accordance with the
requirements of ISO 9001:2008.

 

We recognise that our strength, reputation and success
depend upon the involvement, co-operation and
enthusiasm of all our employees.

 

This policy comes with our authority as directors and
our commitment to achieve our aims by ensuring that:

 

· We all accept our commitment to meeting
customer requirements.

 

· Adequate resources are available to manage and
run the business.

 

· All staff are trained and competent to carry out
their duties.

 

· Our system is audited at regular intervals to ensure that
what has been documented is carried out in practice
and that compliance with the standard is maintained.

 

· The integrity of the system is maintained and
improved as the company grows and develops.

 

· Responsibilities and authorities are defined and
communicated within the company.

 

· Measurable quality objectives are set and
regularly reviewed.

 

· Our internal communication processes ensure
that all staff are aware of the company's business plans
and their contribution to them.

 

We will hold an annual review of performance, policies
and procedures to ensure the continuing effectiveness
of our management system and its capability to
meet changing circumstances.

 

Health and Safety

 

Mackellars consider the Health and Safety of both our
own and other personnel to be of fundamental
importance to the company's development.
It is company policy to maintain high standards of safety
for all employees, with the utmost care taken to ensure
that working conditions and equipment conform to the
Health and Safety at Work Act.

Our statement of general policy is:
To comply with all current legislation and guidance.

 

To provide adequate control of the health and safety
hazards and risks affecting employees, public and any
other persons affected by our work activities.

 

To consult with our employees, trainees and clients on
matters affecting their health and safety.

 

To provide and maintain safe plant, vehicles
and equipment.

 

To ensure safe handling and use of substances.

 

To provide information, instruction and supervision
for employees.

 

To ensure all employees are competent to do their
tasks and to give them adequate training.

 

To prevent accidents and cases of work related ill health.

 

To maintain safe and healthy working conditions.

 

To review and revise this policy at regular intervals
as necessary.

Environment

 

We at Mackellars are aware of the impact of our day
to day operations on the environment, our objective is
to balance the need to achieve our business goals with
an effort towards the sustainable environment
improvement.

 

Environment aspects of our processes and activities
are effectively managed in order to protect the Health
and Safety of employees, customers and the public
whilst contributing to the future well being of the
environment.


Our Environmental Policy

 

We are fully committed to minimising the impact of our
operations on the environment by means of a program
of continuous improvement and in particular we aim to:

 

· Conduct our operations to ensure compliance with
all relevant environmental legislation.

 

· Show a continual commitment to the prevention
of pollution through the use of operational controls,
training and risk assessment.

 

· Make efficient use of resources, reuse rather than
dispose where possible and promote the use of
recycled materials.

 

· Improve waste management and reduce waste
to landfill where possible.

 

· Aim to minimise energy consumption through
effective energy management.

 

· Reduce wherever practicable the level of
uncontrolled atmospheric emissions.

 

· Manage and control effluent discharges arising
from our operations.

 

· Make available appropriate resources to ensure
that the environmental policy is implemented in full.

· On Time Delivery: 96%
· Quality: 98%
· Standard Deviation: 2 days
· Safety Consolidate: Figure below 15

 

It is our Company Objective to maintain and improve
on these figures above.

 

We must meet these figures to remain as a preferred
Manufacturer in the Sub Sea Industry.
